About MKDBS
Mohila Karma Sangsthan O Daridro Bimochon Songstha (MKDBS) is a non-governmental, non-profit, voluntary, and social welfare organization led by women, operating throughout the country. Established in 2001 through the proactive efforts of social workers in Joypurhat district, its primary aim is to enhance the quality of life for the impoverished and marginalized segments of society, particularly women, adolescents, children, and individuals with disabilities. MKDBS is dedicated to fostering socio-economic development within underprivileged communities nationwide. Its mission is to serve the needs of the poor and vulnerable sectors of society, aligning with the broader goals of the development process.

Director Message
In 2001, Mohila Karma Sangsthan O Daridro Bimochon Songstha (MKDBS) established in Sahebpara, Joypurhat Sadar, Bangladesh. Initially affiliated with the Directorate of Women Affairs, the organization obtained registration from the Bureau of NGO Affairs to formalize its operations. Its operational focus lies in the Sadar Upazila of Joypurhat district, targeting the impoverished communities residing in remote areas. With a commitment to addressing the socio-economic vulnerabilities of the disadvantaged, particularly men and women in need, this organization was founded with a special emphasis on uplifting the poor of the region, empowering women, and aligning with the directives of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Over the years, the organization has provided ICT training to 150 individuals, offering skills in computer and mobile servicing to 120 participants, training 60 individuals in boutique handicrafts, and facilitating tailoring skills development. Additionally, through various projects, it has extended assistance to marginalized populations, including the destitute, abandoned spouses, backward communities, and especially vulnerable women and minorities. Through its endeavors, the organization has made significant strides in fostering socio-economic development and pledges to persist in its efforts in the times ahead.
